Wedgie Simulator Version 0.8.3 'Hotfix' Released!


Version 0.8.3 (AKA Alpha V8.3) has released!

This is honestly less as much of a hotfix than it is an early gift in disguise, so here it is!

Triggers


Yes, you've read right! You can now script your scenes with actions using Triggers! Place a trigger into the viewport via the interactive tool, then switch to the Animator tool and Sequencer subtool, and select that trigger to adjust its settings. You can also loop sequences created within the trigger.

For instance, want to make a day and night cycle for your scene? It is now possible!

Trying to make a scene where you are escaping from a creep trying to pull your underpants over your head in the gym? Consider it done!

How about sitting down at the park waiting for your lovely girlfriend to arrive? Haha! Gotcha covered mate!

Why So Early?

This was suppose to be a feature for Version 0.9 (Alpha V9), but we understood some of your complaints/concerns that updates to the game were taking too long to arrive and (well, until Alpha V8's release) a few of you were even worried that the project was silently canceled or that we just 'up and left'. So this time, we wanted to try something a little different and more expedient. We have decided to release one of the major features earlier than planned.

Other Features & Fixes:

  • Save sets has been updated.
    • Technical update; waypoints are now verified based on a new animation state name variable instead of searching for "keywords" in the name of the node.
    • Fixed a bug preventing face poser data from being loaded properly.
  • Level scenes have been optimized for performance.
    • Danielson Park
      • LOD hotfix on exterior trees.
      • Interior trees (the ones inside the park) have been deleted to improve performance.
      • Foliage has been adjusted.
      • Minor geometry adjustments.
    • Freeman City
      • ATMs have been scaled smaller to properly balance with characters in the scene; they were initially too large to look practically useable.
      • Navigation updates to coincide with trigger sequence actions.
    • The Office
      • Minor improvements to geometry and navigation.
    • Your Home
      • Minor improvements to geometry.
      • Navigation has been expanded to cover entire map.
  • Tutorial Mode
    • Updated Animator and Interactive segments.

Known Bugs:

  • Older saved sets have been partially botched as a result of this update. The Anim State in old and pre-existing waypoints may render "NULL" or some gibberish, thus resulting in characters no longer using the proper animations for the respective waypoints. Fortunately, there is a minor fix. To correct this, just load the sets, and then delete and replace the waypoints to update the anim states bound to the new spawns. Face Poser settings may also require tweaking or manual recreation for your mannequins.
  • Weighter and Pantser settings do not load properly in the user interface, but they do still apply and save correctly on the mannequins themselves, so just be mindful of that.
